HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS and Area Restaurants

 DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM CHICAGO, O’HARE

 Note: the Elgin, Illinois hotels are located at the Elgin (Route 31 North) exit off Interstate Route 90 

•  Take I-90 west (toward Rockford) to the 36-1/2 mile marker (TA Truck Stop). 
•  Exit U.S. Route 20, Marengo-Hampshire. 
•  Turn left (west) on Route 20 to Marengo, (approximately 8 miles). 
•  West Street is approximately five blocks beyond the intersection of Routes 20 and 23 (stop light) in the center of Marengo. 
•  Turn right on West Street and proceed down the hill. The entrance to Arnold is on the left.
   

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM HOLIDAY INN -- CRYSTAL LAKE, IL

•  Take Route 31 north to Route 176. 
•  Turn left (west) on 176. Take this to Route 47 and turn right. 
•  Routes 47/176 proceed for only ½ mile, then 176 again turns to the left. 
•  Follow 176 into Marengo, where 176 dead-ends at Route 23. 
•  Turn left on 23 and proceed approximately three blocks to Railroad Street. 
•  Turn right on Railroad Street and follow this down to West Street. (Arnold’s water tower is visible from here). 
•  Turn left onto West Street. The entrance is on the right, one block past the railroad tracks. 

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM GREATER ROCKFORD AIRPORT

•  Exit west from the airport to Beltline Road. Turn right on Beltline (which later intersects with Route 2). 
•  Take Route 2 north to Bypass 20. Turn east (right) on the Bypass toward Belvidere. 
•  Stay on Bypass 20 around Belvidere. It intersects with Business 20 on the east side of Belvidere. 
•  As you enter Marengo, there is a Arnold sign on the N.E. corner of West Street. Turn left on West Street and proceed down the hill. Arnold is on the left.
