SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

Job Location: Chicago, Illinois USA

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports to: Vice President of Sales and Marketing with dotted line reporting to the General Managers of our Business Units located in Rochester, NY, Marengo, IL and Ogallala NE.

Summary of Duties: The Midwest / South Central Account Manager is responsible for growing sales of our value-added assembly work, permanent magnets and injection molded magnets. The position would ideally be based from a home office in the greater Chicagoland area or from one of our facilities in Marengo, IL or Valparaiso, IN. Requires approximately 30% overnight travel to current and prospective accounts in an area from Illinois south to Texas. The highest concentration of business is likely to be within the greater Chicago area (excluding Wisconsin) with additional pockets in the St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas and Houston areas.

In order of importance, the following responsibilities will be measured and critical to success:
 •   Develop new business by planning and making calls with existing and new customers.
 •   Prepare and present proposals to obtain quotes and ultimately close business.
 •   Obtain preferred supplier approvals.
 •   Gather information and develop marketing plans to drive future growth.
 •   Coordinate joint company and customer development projects.
 •   Assist in providing technical support within customer design and engineering groups.
 •   Follow and report on competitive activity.
 •   Promote customer goodwill.
 •   Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of three to five years Outside Sales experience selling component parts directly to OEM's. Individual should have a college degree or equivalent experience and possess a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel. Powerpoint). Local relationships and an Engineering background are a plus.
