Arnold Magnetic Technologies' Precision Thin Metals (PTM) Division produces thin and ultra-thin metals at a fraction of the industry’s standard thickness for battery and ultracapacitor components. Arnold works with customers to improve the performance of their existing energy storage designs using thinner substrates of nickel, aluminum and copper, as well as emerging energy storage solutions using our thin and ultra-thin titanium and stainless steel.
BESThin materials: Titanium, Nickel, Aluminum, Stainless, Copper
Gauges: 0.007" (1.79mm) to 0.00011" (0.0028mm)
Widths: 16.0" (406.6mm) to 0.032" (0.813mm)
Our materials enable energy density through thinner substrates.
The BESThin line of thin and ultra-thin substrates improve storage capacity by allowing for greater energy density in a smaller system. In addition to thinness, Arnold is able to improve material performance through fine-tuned grain size and grain structure and uniform surface roughness. These optimizations allow for precise deposition of electrode materials onto the substrate.
