The Precision Thin Metals division of Arnold Magnetic Technologies produces thin and ultra-thin gauge metal strip and foil products. These products are created from a wide range of non-magnetic alloys as well as permanent and soft magnetic materials. Our technologically advanced, precision rolling facility and skilled workforce has the expertise and capability to roll, anneal, and slit materials that require special handling. Such materials include titanium, nickel, and constant expansion alloys, as well as a wide range of magnetic alloys.
How Thin is Thin?
Thinness is a relative term and we’re often asked how we categorize the end-product's thinness or gauge. We define thin and ultra-thin this way:

For many applications there are performance, weight, and efficiency advantages of using thinner metals. For example, when Arnold’s ultra-thin Arnon® Electrical Steel is utilized in high performance motors rotating in excess of 50,000 revolutions per minute (RPM), the motors have performed up to a 97% efficiency rate.
Performance Testing & Evaluation
Arnold’s Precision Thin Metals team stands behind our ability to achieve optimized performance of our Silicon Steels and other precision thin materials utilized in your design. Our extensive in-house laboratory and testing facilities enable us to fine-tune grain structure, for example, so that our customers achieve top performance materials at a favorable price point.
Arnold's advanced materials lab also allows us to test and assess mechanical characteristics to determine how the product is handled, stamped, and cut.
