Arnold's Powdered Metals Group produces powder cores for the electronic products market. Our Powder Core products include these shapes made from one of four materials: MPP, Hi-Flux™, SUPER-MSS™ (Sendust) and now Fe-Si™ (Iron-Silicon).

For over half a century, Arnold Magnetics has been producing Powder Cores. A world leader in magnetic alloy powder products, Arnold now offers SMSS Powder E-cores, made of an alloy powder which has low losses at elevated temperature and which has relatively stable inductance over temperature. Arnold cores feature a distributed air gap which minimizes fringing flux and makes them highly suited for applications such as switching regulator inductors, flyback transformers, and power factor correction (PFC) inductors.
A world leader in magnetic alloy powder products such as MPP, High-Flux™ and SMSS™, Arnold now also offers a new series of powder cores using an Iron-Silicon alloy under the trade name Fe-Si™. The 6.5 wt% Silicon alloy is a well known material and offers significant advantages, displaying excellent soft magnetic properties such as high saturation magnetization, near zero magnetostriction and higher resistivity.
